Third, regarding unity and difference: here too there are two approaches. First, in the general, there are also four propositions: due to the meaning of inducing the posterior in the preceding thought-moment and the meaning of turning away from the preceding in the posterior thought-moment, this is the approach of non-unity. Both, neither, and so forth may be known upon contemplation. Second, in the specific, there are also four: namely, preceding and succeeding are not one; each being twofold is not two, which is non-difference; both, and neither, should be contemplated. Furthermore, considered mutually interlaced, there are also four propositions, which can be seen. Therefore, unity and difference are unobstructed, flowing and yet not flowing.
