十、登彼岸者，謂塵名相生滅，是此岸；今了塵名相空寂，不生不滅，是彼岸。但以不了為此，了即為彼。依了不了邊，寄彼此以言之，經云「菩薩不住此岸，不住彼岸，而能運度眾生於彼岸。」

Tenth, ascending to the other shore: The arising and ceasing of the names and characteristics of the dust mote is this shore; now, understanding that the names and characteristics of the dust mote are empty and quiescent, neither arising nor ceasing, is the other shore. It is merely that not understanding is 'this', and understanding is 'the other.' Relying on the sides of understanding and non-understanding, one speaks provisionally of 'this' and 'the other.' A sūtra says: 'Bodhisattvas do not abide on this shore, nor do they abide on the other shore, yet they are able to ferry sentient beings across to the other shore.'
