七、真理即事門，謂凡是真理必非事外，以是法無我理故。事必依理，理虛無體，是故此理舉體皆事，方為真理。如水即波無動，而非濕故，即水是波。思之。

Seventh is the gate of the true principle being identical to phenomena, which means that wherever there is true principle, it must never be outside phenomena, because it is the principle of dharmanairātmya. Phenomena necessarily rely on principle, and principle is empty and devoid of [independent] substance; therefore, this principle is in its entirety identical to phenomena before it can be the true principle. It is like water being identical to waves without movement ceasing, for it is not devoid of wetness; thus water is identical to waves. Contemplate this.
