初、謂九流史籍（九流者，一、道，二、儒，三、名，四、法，五、墨，六、縱橫，七、陰陽，八、農流，九、雜流），即六經緯候、諸子史傳、雜說文紀等。二、謂三古字書（謂三蒼古文、篆籀隸皆、真草諸迹等也）。三、所盛書器（即上內經所列者，并餘紙筆墨硯等）。

First, the historical records of the nine lineages (the nine lineages are: first, Daoism; second, Confucianism; third, the School of Names; fourth, Legalism; fifth, Mohism; sixth, the School of Coalitions; seventh, the School of Yin-Yang; eighth, the Agricultural School; ninth, the Eclectic School), namely the Six Classics and apocrypha, the various philosophers, historical biographies, miscellaneous discourses, literary records, and so forth. Second, character dictionaries of the three antiquities (referring to the ancient script of the Sancang, seal, large seal, clerical, regular, and cursive calligraphic traces, and so forth). Third, containers holding texts (namely those listed above under internal scriptures, along with remaining paper, brushes, ink, inkstones, and so forth).
