Merely contemplating faculty and object, a single thought-moment arises, and the arising of the mind is itself provisional. This mind of provisional designation is the root of both confusion and understanding, meaning that the four truths possess measureless aspects. The three realms are not separate dharmas; they are created solely by the one mind. The mind is like a skilled painter, producing all kinds of colors. The mind constructs the six destinies, discriminating and calculating measureless varieties, meaning that such views and attachments are the coarse and subtle aspects of accumulation within the realms, and the coarse and subtle aspects of accumulation beyond the realms. Such birth-and-death is the coarse and subtle aspects of the suffering of fragmented [birth-and-death], and the coarse and subtle aspects of suffering beyond the realms.
