《大品》云：「次第行、次第學、次第道。」此證漸也。又云：「以眾色裹摩尼珠，置之水中，隨物變色。」此證不定也。又云：「從初發心即坐道場，轉法輪度眾生。」此證頓也。

The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā says: "Gradual practice, gradual study, and gradual path." This attests to the gradual. It also says: "If a mani jewel is wrapped in cloths of various colors and placed in water, it changes color according to the object." This attests to the indeterminate. It also says: "From the first arousal of the mind [of bodhi], one sits at the bodhimaṇḍa, turns the wheel of the Dharma, and delivers sentient beings." This attests to the sudden.
