If within the contemplation factor one suddenly understands that avidyā, when turned around, transforms into vidyā, and vidyā is endowed with all phenomena. Or one asserts that avidyā cannot be obtained to transform into vidyā, and how could vidyā be obtained? This unobtainability is endowed with all phenomena. Or one asserts that the vidyā of dharmatā is both obtainable and unobtainable, neither obtainable nor unobtainable. One gate is immediately three gates, and three gates are immediately one gate. This understanding is luminous and sharp; whatever it refutes, nothing is not destroyed, and whatever it maintains, nothing is not established; none can surpass it, and one also considers oneself to have attained the forbearance of non-arising. Such an understanding as this is the arising of the views of the four gates of the perfect teaching.
