Form-matter and the one who forms being like empty space: this is called śūnyatā-samādhi. Not grasping this emptiness: this is called animitta-samādhi. Being free from subject and object: this is called apraṇihita-samādhi. How could it merely be the three truths, six pāramitās, and three emptinesses? All Buddha-dharmas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges can be understood by this analogy. Since contemplating the dust of form-matter is like this, the remaining five dusts are also like this, and the six perceptions and six activities are also like this. The Lotus Sūtra says: 'Again I see the Buddha's sons / fully endowed with dignified comportment / to seek the Buddha path.' This is precisely the meaning.
