一、生活緣務者，經紀生方，觸途紛糾，得一失一，喪道亂心。若勤營眾事，則隨自意攝，非今所論。

First, the busy engagement of livelihood: managing ways of making a living, tangled in complications wherever one turns, gaining one thing and losing another, losing the Path and confusing the mind. If one diligently manages community affairs, that is subsumed under freely following one's mind, which is not what is discussed here.
