“Furthermore, good man! A wise person recognizes an enemy, and the enemy cannot harm him; a warrior general has strategy, and he can shatter a strong foe. Without wind, how can clouds be rolled away? Without clouds, how can heat be shielded? Without water, how can fire be extinguished? Without fire, how can darkness be removed? An axe to chop wood, a knife to untie bonds—how could anything surpass wisdom?” With skillful means and various causes and parables, one extensively praises contemplation, causing him to shatter evil. This is called “calming the mind by contemplating in accordance with antidote.”
