5.45

通言煩惱者，見、慢同煩惱；陰入、病是煩惱果；業是煩惱因；禪是無動業，業即煩惱用；魔即統欲界，即煩惱主；二乘、菩薩即別煩惱攝（云云）。

In terms of the general label "defilements": views and pride are identical with defilements; the aggregates, sense-bases, and illness are the fruits of defilements; karma is the cause of defilements; dhyāna is non-agitative karma, and karma is the function of defilements; Māra rules the desire realm and is the master of defilements; the two vehicles and the bodhisattva are subsumed under specific defilements (and so on).
