6.135

次、中根人授藥者：此人心志小強，行力小勝，宜生理善；五濁障輕，智慧小利。赴其樂欲，為說因緣即空；聞生理善，破於惡因，見第一義。是為授即空藥治中根人。此又為四：謂下、中、上、上上，即是四門入池，例前云云。

Next, dispensing medicine to people of middling faculties: the minds and aspirations of these people are slightly stronger, their power of practice is slightly superior, and it is suitable to give rise to the good of principle; their obstacles from the five turbidities are light, and their wisdom is slightly sharp. To match their desires, one expounds for them that causes and conditions are identical with emptiness; hearing this gives rise to the good of principle, destroys evil causes, and enables them to see the primary truth. This is dispensing the medicine of identity with emptiness to cure people of middling faculties. This again has four kinds: namely inferior, middling, superior, and supreme, which are the four gates for entering the pool, analogous to the preceding, and so forth.
