6.62

《涅槃》稱為半字；《法華》名「二十年中常令除糞」；《釋論》名為「拙醫」；《維摩》稱為「貧所樂法」；天親呼為「下劣乘」，皆指此四門，非今所用也。

The *Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra* calls it the half-word; the *Lotus Sūtra* names it "having him constantly shovel out dung for twenty years"; the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* names it the "clumsy physician"; the *Vimalakīrti* calls it "the dharma delighted in by the poor"; and Vasubandhu calls it the "inferior vehicle"—all refer to these four gates, which are not what is currently employed.
