7.95

如是五種皆是實觀，非得解觀。那忽於中計以為淨，好衣美食愛護將養，摩頭拭頸保此毒身？譬如蜣蜋丸鹿糞穢；人亦如是愛重此身，至死不厭，不可搪觸。養此身故，造種種罪。若知過患、始終不淨，能破淨倒也。

These five kinds are all real contemplations, not contemplations by resolution. How could one suddenly reckon purity in this, cherishing, nourishing, and caring for it with fine clothes and delicious food, rubbing the head and wiping the neck to preserve this venomous body? It is like a dung beetle rolling a ball of deer dung; humans also cherish and prize this body in this way, never tiring of it until death, not allowing it to be touched or bumped. Because they nourish this body, they commit all kinds of sins. If one knows its faults and perils, and that it is impure from beginning to end, one can shatter the inversion of purity.
