As for the inconceivable realm: a single thought-moment of a sick mind is neither real nor existent, but is itself the dharmatā and dharmadhātu. All dharmas converge upon illness, and this convergence cannot be surpassed; it is purely the capital of the dharmadhātu, without the distinctions of the nine realms. It is like the cintāmaṇi jewel: not empty, not existent, not before, and not after; illness is also like this, cutting off speech and transcending characteristics, tranquil, extinguished, and pure—hence it is called "inconceivable." When one penetrates to the ultimate reality of illness, what joy or sorrow can there be? When one practices this contemplation, [the illness] melts away and recovers all at once. The Suvarṇaprabhāsa states: "Upon simply hearing these words, the illness is immediately cured." This is precisely the meaning of the initial contemplation. "Furthermore, for those whose [illnesses] are deep, severe, and difficult to cure, they go to the elder, who compounds diverse medicines for them, whereupon the illness is finally cured." This is the meaning of the subsequent nine contemplations.
