復次，有三種得病因緣不同：一者、四大五藏增損得病，如前說。二者、鬼神所作得病。三者、業報得病。如是等病，初得即治，甚易得差。若經久則病成，身羸病結，治之難愈。

Furthermore, there are three different kinds of causes and conditions for contracting illness: The first is contracting illness from the increase or decrease of the four great elements and five internal organs, as explained before. The second is contracting illness caused by ghosts and spirits. The third is contracting illness from karmic retribution. For such illnesses as these, if treated when first contracted, they are very easily cured. If they persist for a long time, the illness becomes entrenched, the body emaciated and the disease hardened into knots, making it difficult to cure.
