答曰：此難更成今義。所以者何？若行者過去已經值無量諸佛，從諸佛所聞說般若波羅蜜，如聞而行，則今世隨有所修，一切非事非理諸禪三昧不共之法自然開發，若過去不聞般若，不修般若，今世雖聞雖修，而不能發，何況不聞不修而得發耶？

Answer: This objection further establishes our present meaning. Why is this? If the practitioner in the past has already encountered immeasurable Buddhas, heard the preaching of Prajñā-pāramitā from those Buddhas, and practiced according to what was heard, then in this present life, following whatever is cultivated, all the various dhyānas, samādhis, and unshared dharmas of neither phenomena nor principle will naturally develop and arise. If in the past one did not hear prajñā and did not cultivate prajñā, in this life even if one hears and cultivates, they cannot arise—how much less could they arise without hearing and without cultivating?
