第二、明次品覺、大覺者，用天眼通見四大色，即知其性各異，故名為覺。知四大無常生滅，性無差別，故名大覺。餘四通亦爾。

Second, explaining the intermediate grade of vitarka and great vitarka: Using the supernormal knowledge of the divine eye to see the forms of the four great elements, immediately knowing that their natures are each different, is therefore called vitarka. Knowing that the four great elements are impermanent, arising and ceasing, and that their nature is without distinction, is therefore called great vitarka. The remaining four supernormal knowledges are also like this.
