This counting is subtle and wondrous, inconceivable, beyond expression by speech, beyond reckoning by the mind. It is not even the realm of minor bodhisattvas or the single vehicle; how much less of ordinary worldlings! If there are great beings of sharp faculties who hear such dharmas, can believe, understand, accept, and uphold them, contemplate them with right mindfulness, and cultivate them with dedicated effort, know that such a person walks where the Buddha walks, dwells where the Buddha dwells, enters the Tathāgata's room, wears the Tathāgata's robes, and sits on the Tathāgata's seat; in this very body they will surely attain the purification of the six sense faculties, open the Buddha's knowledge and vision, universally manifest the physical body, and attain equal, complete enlightenment. Therefore the Avataṃsaka Sūtra says: "At the initial resolve, one attains complete enlightenment; thoroughly penetrating the true nature of all dharmas, the wisdom body one possesses does not arise from another's awakening."
