五、身識界。身根若對觸塵，即生身識。身識生時，即識觸塵，故名身識界也。

Fifth, the body-consciousness dhātu. When the body faculty faces the tangible object, the body-consciousness immediately arises. When the body-consciousness arises, it immediately cognizes the tangible object; hence it is named the body-consciousness dhātu.
