次如幻三昧破閻浮提有者，南方果報雜雜，壽命短促不定猶如幻化。此是心幻出生惡業果，幻出煩惱、幻出無知、幻出無明，一切眾生不知如幻。今菩薩為破是諸幻故修三種三昧，修真諦三昧幻出無漏，破見思之幻；修俗諦三昧幻出道種智，破無知之幻；修中道三昧幻出一切種智，破無明之幻。修行力故自證三諦三昧，成慈悲力故破他力成，是故名為如幻三昧也。

Next, the illusion-like samādhi destroys existence in Jambudvīpa. In the south, the retributions are varied, and the lifespan is short and unstable, just like an illusion or a conjuration. This is the mind's illusion conjuring the fruits of bad karma, conjuring defilements, conjuring ignorance, and conjuring nescience; all sentient beings do not know it is like an illusion. Now, to destroy these various illusions, the bodhisattva cultivates three kinds of samādhi: cultivating the samādhi of the real truth to conjure the untainted and destroy the illusion of views and thoughts; cultivating the samādhi of the conventional truth to conjure the wisdom of the aspects of the path and destroy the illusion of ignorance; and cultivating the samādhi of the middle way to conjure the wisdom of all aspects and destroy the illusion of nescience. Through the power of cultivation, they personally realize the samādhi of the three truths; through the accomplished power of loving-kindness and compassion, the power to destroy [the delusions of] others is accomplished. Therefore, it is named the illusion-like samādhi.
