次悅意三昧破炎摩天有者，此天虛空無刀杖畏，以之為悅，實非是悅，未有不動業悅、未有無漏悅、未有道種智悅、未有中道悅。菩薩為破此故，修四諦觀八背捨中禪悅破其動散不悅，生滅無生滅慧破其有漏不悅，無量慧破其沈空不悅，無作慧破其二邊不悅。以無生悅故真諦三昧成，出假稱機之悅故俗諦三昧成，中道悅意故中道三昧成。自行力故自證三昧成，以慈悲力故破他三昧成，故名悅意三昧也。

Next, the mind-delighting samādhi destroys existence in the Yāma Heaven. In this heaven of empty space, there is no fear of swords or clubs, which they take to be delight; yet in truth it is not delight, for they do not yet have the delight of immovable karma, the delight of the untainted, the delight of the wisdom of the aspects of the path, or the delight of the middle way. In order to destroy this, the bodhisattva cultivates the contemplation of the four truths and the meditative joy within the eight liberations to destroy their non-delight of agitation and scattering; uses the wisdom of arising and ceasing and non-arising to destroy their non-delight of the tainted; uses immeasurable wisdom to destroy their non-delight of sinking into emptiness; and uses uncreated wisdom to destroy their non-delight of the two extremes. Because of the delight of non-arising, the samādhi of the real truth is accomplished; because of the delight of emerging into the provisional to accord with capacities, the samādhi of the conventional truth is accomplished; because of the delight in the mind of the middle way, the samādhi of the middle way is accomplished. Through the power of personal practice, their personal realization of samādhi is accomplished; through the power of loving-kindness and compassion, the samādhi that destroys [the non-delight of] others is accomplished. Therefore, it is named the mind-delighting samādhi.
