《金錍》云：故唯心之言，豈唯真心也。須知煩惱心遍。此則遮於世人約於真心說唯心義，故云唯心之言豈唯真心。應知唯字正屬唯心，乃令約煩惱心說唯心，不可約真如心說唯心。

The Jinbi states: "Therefore, as for the statement 'mind-only', how could it mean only the true mind? You must understand that the afflicted mind is pervasive." This refutes worldly people who explain the meaning of mind-only in terms of the true mind; hence it says, "as for the statement 'mind-only', how could it mean only the true mind?" You should know that the word "only" properly belongs to mind-only, which requires one to explain mind-only in terms of the afflicted mind, and forbids explaining mind-only in terms of the true suchness mind.
