現前異類一切眾生，依大乘經甚深妙義，歸依佛、歸依法、歸依僧（三說）。歸依佛竟、歸依法竟、歸依僧竟（三說）。從今已往，稱佛為師，更不歸依邪魔外道。惟願三寶哀憐攝受（三說）。

“All sentient beings of other species present here: relying on the profound, wondrous meaning of the Mahāyāna scriptures, take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge in the Saṅgha. (Speak three times.) Having taken refuge in the Buddha, having taken refuge in the Dharma, having taken refuge in the Saṅgha. (Speak three times.) From this day forth, take the Buddha as your master, and never again take refuge in demonic spirits or non-Buddhist ways. We only pray that the Three Jewels look down with pity and embrace you.” (Speak three times.)
