1.135

汝等水族異類眾生，我今依大乘經甚深妙義，授汝三歸、十號、十二因緣已畢。又復念汝無始業障深重墮在畜生，今則為汝對三寶前，發露眾愆、求哀懺悔，願汝罪業一念消除，便得生天，近佛受記。

You sentient beings of the aquatic and different species: based upon the profound and wondrous meaning of the Mahāyāna sūtras, I have now finished conferring upon you the three refuges, the ten epithets, and the twelve links of dependent origination. Again reflecting that your karmic hindrances from beginningless time are heavy and deep so that you have fallen into the realm of animals, I now, on your behalf before the Three Jewels, disclose all transgressions and beseech compassionate repentance, wishing that your sinful karma may be eradicated in a single thought-moment, so that you may immediately be born in heaven and draw near to the Buddha to receive his prediction.
