1.136

現前水族飛禽異類等，志心懺悔。自從無始，不悟本心，輪迴生死。於諸有中，內無慧眼、外近惡人，開放逸門、造生死業，殺盜邪婬、妄言綺語兩舌惡罵、貪瞋邪見，自作教他，讚嘆隨喜，四十種惡念念相應未曾暫捨。乃至出佛身血、破和合僧、殺阿羅漢、殺害父母及以二師、謗方等經、偷僧祇物，自破淨戒、污他梵行，斗秤欺誑、以偽為真，飲酒昏迷、犯諸過失，傷害眾生充己飲食，作無量罪、結無量冤，致令此身輪迴三有，今墮畜生，酬償宿債，從苦入苦，無解脫期。今遇比丘說大乘法，無邊重罪，如佛世尊所見所知，今皆懺悔。願罪消除，願罪消滅。

May the present aquatic creatures, birds, and different species repent with sincere mind: Since beginningless time, failing to awaken to our original minds, we have wheeled around in birth and death. Amid all realms of existence, internally lacking the eye of wisdom and externally associating with evil persons, we opened the gates of heedlessness and created karma of birth and death: killing, stealing, sexual misconduct; false speech, frivolous speech, divisive speech, abusive speech; greed, anger, and false views; doing them ourselves and teaching others to do so, praising and rejoicing in them—the forty kinds of evil corresponding thought after thought without ever ceasing even for a moment. Even shedding the Buddha's blood, disrupting the harmonious Saṅgha, killing arhats, killing parents and two kinds of preceptors, slandering the Vaipulya sūtras, stealing Saṅgha property, breaking our own pure precepts and defiling the pure conduct of others, deceiving with bushels and scales, taking the counterfeit as real, becoming intoxicated and muddled from drinking alcohol and committing various transgressions, and harming sentient beings to fill our own bellies—we have committed boundless sins and tied up boundless enmities, causing this body to wheel around in the three realms of existence and now fall into the realm of animals to repay old debts, entering from suffering into suffering with no period of liberation. Now meeting a bhikṣu expounding the Mahāyāna Dharma, all our boundless heavy sins, just as seen and known by the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, are now repented of. May these sins be eradicated; may these sins be extinguished!
