制僧羲寂。卿久居名山、恒看大藏，國朝欽若真教、志重高人。今賜師號紫衣，細絹十疋綿十屯，至可領也。故茲詔示，想宜知悉，遣書指不多及。二十九日。

Imperial decree to the monk Xiji: You have long resided in celebrated mountains and constantly studied the Great Canon. The state reveres the true teaching and places great weight on noble individuals. Now I bestow upon you a master's title and a purple robe, ten bolts of fine silk, and ten tun of silk floss; you may receive them upon arrival. Therefore, I issue this decree; it is expected that you should know of it. I shall not extend this letter's points further. The twenty-ninth day.
