「普為四恩三有，法界眾生，悉願斷除三障，歸命懺悔。」（唱已，五體投地，心復念言：「我與眾生無始來今，由愛見故，內計我人、外加惡友，不隨喜他一毫之善，唯遍三業廣造眾罪，事雖不廣惡心遍布，晝夜相續無有間斷，覆諱過失不欲人知，不畏惡道無慚無愧，撥無因果，故於今日深信因果，生重慚愧生大怖畏，發露懺悔斷相續心，發菩提心斷惡修善，勤策三業翻昔重過，隨喜凡聖一毫之善，念十方佛有大福慧，能救拔我及諸眾生，從二死海置三德岸，從無始來，不知諸法本性空寂，廣造眾惡，今知空寂，為求菩提為眾生故，廣修諸善，遍斷眾惡唯願觀音，慈悲攝受。」想訖唱云：）

"Universally on behalf of the four benefactors and the three realms of existence, and the sentient beings of the dharmadhātu, we fully vow to sever the three obstacles, take refuge, and repent." (Having chanted, perform a full prostration with the five limbs touching the ground, and again contemplate in mind: "From beginningless time until now, myself and sentient beings, driven by craving and wrong views, internally grasp at self and others, and externally associate with evil friends; we do not rejoice in others' slightest goodness, but only universally commit manifold sins throughout the three karmas. Though the matters are not vast, the evil mind extends everywhere, continuously day and night without interruption; we conceal and hide our faults, not wishing others to know; we do not fear the evil destinies, are devoid of shame and remorse, and repudiate cause and effect. Therefore on this day, we deeply believe in cause and effect, give rise to profound shame and remorse, produce great fear, confess and repent, sever the mind of continuous [evil], arouse the bodhicitta, sever evil and cultivate good, diligently spur the three karmas to reverse former grave faults, rejoice in the slightest goodness of ordinary persons and sages, and contemplate that the Buddhas of the ten directions possess great merit and wisdom and can rescue myself and all sentient beings, moving us from the ocean of the two kinds of death to the shore of the three virtues. From beginningless time, we did not know that the original nature of all dharmas is empty and quiescent, and extensively committed manifold evils; now knowing that they are empty and quiescent, for the sake of seeking bodhi and for the sake of sentient beings, we extensively cultivate all goods and everywhere sever all evils. We only pray that Avalokiteśvara will compassionately gather us in." Having visualized this, chant:)
