1.38

又依《灌頂經》第三卷說云，若人受持三歸五戒者，佛勅天帝：「汝差天神六十一人，日夜年月隨逐守護受戒之人，勿令獲諸惡鬼神橫相惱害。」此亦是現生護念增上緣。

Furthermore, according to the statement in the third roll of the Guanding jing, if someone receives and maintains the three refuges and the five precepts, the Buddha commands the heavenly lord: "You shall dispatch sixty-one heavenly spirits to follow, guard, and protect the person who received the precepts day and night, months and years, and not allow various evil ghosts and spirits to bring untimely affliction or harm upon them." This too is an adhipati-pratyaya for protection and mindfulness in the present life.
