1.68

又如《觀經》九品云：一一品中所告眾生者，皆是若佛在世、若佛滅後，五濁凡夫遇善知識勸令生信，持戒念佛誦經禮讚，決定往生。以佛願力盡得往生，此亦是證生增上緣。

Furthermore, as the nine grades of the Guan jing say: In each and every grade, those addressed among sentient beings are, whether during the Buddha's presence in the world or after the Buddha's demise, pṛthagjanas of the five turbidities who meet a good friend (kalyāṇamitra) who encourages them to produce faith, uphold the precepts, recite the Buddha's name, chant the sūtras, make prostrations, and praise; they are definitively reborn. By the power of the Buddha's vows, they all attain rebirth; this too is the adhipati-pratyaya of certifying rebirth.
