Wholehearted confession: Since beginningless time, throughout taking on physical forms, I have constantly inflicted the ten unwholesome actions upon sentient beings, been unfilial to parents, slandered the Triratna, and committed the five deeds of immediate retribution and unwholesome karma. By reason of these manifold sins, vain thoughts and inversions have arisen to bind me, and I ought to suffer the immeasurable pains of birth and death. Prostrating, I confess and pray that they be eradicated. Having confessed, with wholehearted devotion I take refuge in and bow to Amitābha Buddha.
