青林辭師，師曰：「子向甚麼處去？」林云：「金輪不隱的，遍界絕紅塵。」師曰：「善自保任。」林珍重而出，師門送，謂青林曰：「恁麼去一句作麼生道？」林曰：「步步踏紅塵，通身無影像。」師良久。林云：「老和尚何不速道？」師曰：「子得恁麼性急？」林曰：「某甲罪過。」便禮辭。

Qinglin took his leave of the Master. The Master said, "Where are you going?" Lin said, "The golden wheel does not conceal its mark; throughout the realm, red dust is cut off." The Master said, "Carefully protect and maintain it yourself." Lin took his leave respectfully and went out. The Master saw him off at the gate and said to Qinglin, "How do you speak a phrase about going like that?" Lin said, "Step by step treading in the red dust, the entire body is without shadow or image." The Master was silent for a long time. Lin said, "Why does the old upādhyāya not speak quickly?" The Master said, "How did you become so impatient?" Lin said, "My fault." He then bowed and departed.
