舉：「藥山問僧：『甚處來？』云：『湖南來。』藥山云：『洞庭湖水滿也未？』云：『未。』藥山云：『許多時雨水，為甚麼未滿？』僧無語。道吾云：『滿也。』」雲巖云：「湛湛地。」師云：「甚麼劫中，曾增減來？」

He cited: "Yaoshan asked a monk, 'Where do you come from?' The monk said, 'I come from Hunan.' Yaoshan said, 'Is the water in Lake Dongting full yet?' The monk said, 'Not yet.' Yaoshan said, 'With so much rainwater, why is it not yet full?' The monk had no words. Daowu said, 'It is full.'" Yunyan said, "Limpid and fathomless." The Master said, "In what kalpa has it ever increased or decreased?"
