1.53

師問僧：「時節恁麼熱，向甚處迴避？」僧曰：「鑊頭爐炭裡迴避。」師曰：「彼中若何迴避？」僧曰：「眾苦不能到。」師默置。

The Master asked a monk, "When the season is so hot, where do you go to avoid it?"
The monk said, "I avoid it in the caldron and amidst the charcoal of the hearth."
The Master said, "How do you avoid it in there?"
The monk said, "The multitude of sufferings cannot reach it."
The Master remained silent.
