1.64

師垂語曰：「有一人，向萬丈崖頭騰身直下，此是甚麼人？」眾無對，道延出云：「不存。」師曰：「不存箇甚麼？」延云：「始得撲不碎。」師深肯之。

The Master gave an instruction, saying, "There is a person who leaps straight down from a cliff of ten thousand fathoms; what kind of person is this?"
The assembly had no response. Daoyan stepped forward and said, "Not remaining."
The Master said, "Not remaining as what?"
Yan said, "Only then can it not be smashed to pieces."
The Master deeply approved of him.
