師垂語曰：「有一人，向萬丈崖頭，騰身直下，此是甚麼人？」眾無對，道延出云：「不存。」師曰：「不存箇甚麼？」延云：「始得撲不碎。」師深肯之。

The Master gave instructions, saying, "There is a person who flings their body straight down from the edge of a myriad-fathom cliff. What kind of person is this?" The assembly had no answer. Daoyan came forward and said, "He does not remain." The Master said, "What does he not remain in?" Daoyan said, "Only then can he not be shattered by the fall." The Master deeply approved of him.
