1.37

師問維那：「甚處來？」云：「牽醋槽去來。」師曰：「或到險處，又作麼生牽？」維那無對。（雲居代云：「正好著力。」疎山代云：「切須放却始得。」）

The Master asked the karmadāna, "Where have you come from?" He said, "I have come from pulling the vinegar trough." The Master said, "If you come to a dangerous place, how do you pull it?" The karmadāna had no reply. (Yunju answered in his place: "It is just the right time to apply effort." Shushan answered in his place: "You must let go of it completely.")
