舉：「僧問灌溪：『久嚮灌溪，到來秖見箇漚麻池。』溪云：『爾秖見漚麻池，且不識灌溪。』僧云：『如何是灌溪？』溪云：『劈箭急。』」師云：「何不與第一機秖對？」

[The Master] cited: "A monk asked Guanxi: 'I have long yearned for Guanxi (Pouring Stream), but arriving here, I see only a hemp-retting pond.' Xi said: 'You only see the hemp-retting pond, and do not yet recognize Guanxi.' The monk said: 'What is Guanxi?' Xi said: 'Swift as a shot arrow.'" The Master said, "Why not answer him with the primary dynamic?"
