舉：「僧問雲居：『山河大地從何而有？』居云：『從妄想有。』僧云：『與某甲想出一鋋金得麼？』居便休去，僧不肯。」師聞得云：「已是葛藤，不能折合得。待伊道『想出一鋋金得麼？』拈拄杖便打。」

He cited: "A monk asked Yunju, 'From what do the mountains, rivers, and great earth come to be?' Yunju said, 'They come to be from false discrimination.' The monk said, 'Could you imagine into existence a bar of gold for me?' Yunju just stopped there, and the monk did not accept it." The Master, hearing of this, said, "That was already entanglement, yet he could not break it off. Waiting for him to say, 'Could you imagine into existence a bar of gold for me?' he should just have picked up his staff and beaten him."
