師一日云：「三家村裏賣卜，東卜西卜，忽然卜著也不定。」僧便問：「忽然卜著時如何？」師云：「伏惟。」

One day the Master said, "Telling fortunes in a village of three families—divining east, divining west—suddenly one might hit the mark, or perhaps not." A monk then asked, "What about when one suddenly hits the mark?" The Master said, "Respectfully submitted."
