師或云：「萬法紜紜，三世諸佛天下老和尚一時出頭，過在什麼處？」代云：「著什麼來由？」

The master on another occasion said, "The myriad phenomena are chaotic and varied; if the Buddhas of the three periods and the old upādhyāyas of the world all stick out their heads at once, where is the fault?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "What reason is there to get involved?"
