2.41

舉：「傅大士頌云：『空手把鋤頭，步行騎水牛。』」師云：「是爾從向北騎一頭水牯牛到這裏。」乃拈起拄杖云：「不見道：千頭萬頭，到這裏但識取一頭。」

He cited: "Mahāsattva Fu's verse says: 'Empty-handed, holding a hoe; walking on foot, riding a water buffalo.'" The Master said, "It is you riding a water buffalo from the north to here." He then held up his staff and said, "Have you not heard it said: 'Though there are a thousand head or ten thousand head, when you come here, just recognize the one head'?"
