師歲夜問僧：「餅啖是羅漢藥石，還將得饆鑼䭔子來麼？」無對，代云：「今日東風起。」
On New Year's Eve, the Master asked a monk, "Pastry is the medicine-meal of arhats; have you brought back stuffed pastries and fried cakes?" There was no reply. Answering on their behalf, he said, "Today the east wind rises."
