師或拈拄杖云：「且向這裏會，也有利益，也無利益，總不會，顢頇佛性，儱侗真如。」代云：「疋上不足，疋下有餘。」

The Master also held up his staff and said, "If you just understand here, there is benefit and there is no benefit; if you do not understand at all, you make a muddle of Buddha-nature and blur Suchness." Answering on their behalf, he said, "Matched above, it is insufficient; matched below, there is a surplus."
