2.53

師有時拈拄杖打床一下云：「一切聲是佛聲，一切色是佛色，爾把鉢盂噇飯時有箇鉢盂見，行時有箇行見，坐時有箇坐，見者般底作與麼去就？」把棒一時趁散。

The Master at times struck the seat once with his staff and said, "All sounds are the Buddha's voice; all forms are the Buddha's forms. When you take your bowl and wolf down rice, you have the view of a bowl; when walking, you have the view of walking; when sitting, you have [the view of] sitting. When seeing such types, how should one act?" Taking the staff, he chased them all away at once.
