問僧：「甚處來？」僧云：「郴州。」師云：「爾為什麼失脚？」代云：「魯般門下弄大斧。」又云：「客是主人相。」

He asked a monk, "Where do you come from?" The monk said, "Chenzhou." The Master said, "Why did you lose your footing?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "Wielding a broadaxe at the gate of Lu Ban." He also said, "The guest shows the host's features."
