3.101

師問僧：「甚處來？」云：「查渡。」師云：「爾為什麼蓋不著？」僧云：「和尚莫塗糊某甲。」師云：「鰕跳不出斗。」代云：「新到便蒙和尚重重嚴飾。」又云：「見面。」

The Master asked a monk, "Where do you come from?" He said, "Zhadu." The Master said, "Why could you not cover it?" The monk said, "Upādhyāya, do not confound me." The Master said, "A leaping shrimp cannot jump out of the peck measure." Answering on their behalf, he said, "A newcomer at once receives the Upādhyāya's layered adornment." He also said, "Seeing each other face to face."
