問僧：「古人道：『無邊剎境自他不隔於毫端。』新羅日本與這裏作麼生？」僧云：「不別。」師云：「入地獄。」代云：「不可作地獄見解。」又云：「爭得玉歸。」

He asked a monk, "An ancient said, 'Boundless land-realms, oneself and others, are not separated by the tip of a hair.' What about Silla, Japan, and here?" The monk said, "Not different." The Master said, "Falling into hell." Answering on their behalf, he said, "One must not form a view of hell." He also said, "How could one return with jade?"
