3.103

問僧：「爾不得鈍置我。」僧云：「和尚因什麼到與麼地？」師云：「我鈍置儞猶可，儞鈍置我更殺。」代云：「事不孤起。」又云：「和尚也大無端。」又云：「某甲甚處不下馬？」

He asked a monk, "You must not put me in an awkward spot." The monk said, "Why has the Upādhyāya reached such a ground?" The Master said, "My putting you in an awkward spot is still tolerable; your putting me in an awkward spot is even more fatal." Answering on their behalf, he said, "Things do not arise in isolation." He also said, "The Upādhyāya is also exceedingly unprovoked." He also said, "Where would I not dismount?"
