師歸山，受大眾參了，乃云：「我離山得六十七日，問儞六十七日事作麼生？」眾無對。代云：「和尚京中歸無信物。」又云：「和尚京中喫麫多。」

When the Master returned to the mountain and received greetings from the assembly, he said, "I have been away from the mountain for sixty-seven days. Let me ask you: what about the matters of these sixty-seven days?" The assembly made no reply. Answering on their behalf, he said, "The Upādhyāya returned from the capital without any tokens." He also said, "The Upādhyāya ate a lot of noodles in the capital."
